Savannah Hayes

Savannah Hayes, News Editor

Attending McIntosh High School, Savannah Hayes is a junior and the News Editor for the McIntosh Trail. This is her second year on the staff. Over the summer she joined the New Voices institution and she entered some of her work into the Georgia Scholastic Press Association(GSPA) last year.

As a member of the National Beta Club and also formerly in the National Junior Beta Club Hayes was able to gain many awards including the Bronze Service Hour Award in the seventh grade and the Silver Service Hour Award in the eighth grade. Along with that, she is in the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS).

She has been to Camp Athena for music and leadership and she highly recommends it if someone is in band or orchestra. Hayes also has a volunteer position at Zoo Atlanta and has been in the Spirit of McIntosh Marching band since 2020. She has played trumpet in concert band for six  years. Overall Hayes is very excited to write more entertaining articles for the Trail this year.

Tuesday Nov. 29 Sarah Arriola was tasked with filming her dress for finals. She had help from teachers Brad Yarbrough and Ken Buswell.
