The McIntosh golf team held tryouts for the upcoming season on Tuesday, Feb. 28. The tryouts continued on the following Wednesday and the final tryout date was Tuesday, March 6.

Sophomore Shane Karafanda said, “On the first day, the conditions of the course were spot on. There was a little bit of wind but not enough to hurt the high ball strikers. Plenty of low scores were up for grab. On the second day, the wind was gusting a little bit. It was a little treacherous but if you powered through, you could go hunting for some pins.” 

The golf season officially begins with the Cougar Invitational tournament on Saturday, March 18.
