Junior Travis Kuebler was on the mound for the Chiefs as they played the Ola Mustangs on March 6. During the seven innings, Travis gave up two hits, didn’t allow any runs and had eight strikeouts. Kuebler’s WHIP for the game was .157, and the Chief’s defense only had one error compared to Ola’s six.

On offense, the Chiefs scored six runs on six hits. Junior Garrett Stewart led the team with three RBIs, and junior Van Neeley had two hits. Van and senior Mike Dolak both had three quality at bats, and senior Duke Kinamon followed with two. Duke and junior Drew Plant were both walked once, and senior Tyler Mowry was hit by a pitch. The final score was 6-0, and the team will play again at Luella on Mon., March 9.

Military Appreciation Night for the team was March 6, and they wore camo hats to honor veterans and military persons. It was also Kids Run the Bases Night, so after the win, kids 12 and under were allowed to take to the field with the team.
