The college basketball season began for many colleges across the nation on Nov. 14.  While for some teams, they began with purely regular season match ups, other teams were and in some cases still are participating in season-opening tournaments.  As the season begins, fans across the nation are excited to see their teams get challenged and respond to the test.

This excitement was apparent in the large turnout for the basketball game between two basketball powerhouses, the University of Kentucky and the University of Kansas.  While many thought it would be a tight and down-to-the-wire game, it was not.  Kentucky throttled the Jayhawks.

About the season’s prospects, junior Jay Booras said, “I expect the Wisconsin Badgers to make it all the way to the championship this year.”
