The debate team traveled to Northview High School in John’s Creek to take on the best debate teams in the state on March 4-5.  Only 37 teams qualified for the annual championship, and each team member had to meet special qualifications to compete in the tournament.

While McIntosh was not able take any awards home from the event, this year, the debate team had more people qualify for state than any other year since they came home with the state championship in March 2014.

Debate president, senior Andrew Alter said, “While the tournament didn’t quite start as planned, we went undefeated on Saturday and enjoyed our season overall.  Receiving multiple bids into this tournament was a real privilege.”
