There were teams from all over Georgia competing for the chance to win first place trophies, medals, and hats. There were nine different categories in which teams competed. For those categories the teams that won are Woodland-Cartersville (COED), Lambert (7A), Northgate (6A), McIntosh (5A), Cedartown (4A), Pierce County (4A), Vidalia (2A), Gordon Lee (A Public) and Mt. Paran Christian (A Private). The different categories represent the size of the teams. McIntosh is a 5A school.

Over this past year, the varsity competition cheer team has been practicing almost every day so they could get to this point and be proud of where they are. Coach Mia Kendrick said ” We’ve had five different girls get injured, and being able to come back from that is amazing. I’m proud of what the girls have done, and I can’t wait to see what they will do next year.”
