The varsity soccer Lady Chiefs competed against the Whitewater Wildcats on March 17. The team started off strong, with senior captain Taylor Malasek scoring a goal within the first ten minutes of the game.

Whitewater scored their first goal to tie the game with twenty minutes left in the first half. The Wildcats scored with fifteen minutes left in the game to take the lead. The Lady Chiefs had 16 shots on goal total just during the second half but were unable to score again, resulting in a loss of 2-1.

Freshman Skylar Dzenis said, “We knew going in that the Whitewater team would be good competition for us. I think we played a good game; we just needed to get more shots in the goal.”
