The MHS track and field team raced the fifth annual Big Orange Relays at Parkview High School in Lilburn on  Saturday, March 15. The meet featured relay events not usually present at regular competitions, such as the 4x1600m, sprint medley relay, distance medley relay, shuttle hurdle relay, 4x800m and 4x200m. Even field event points were added up in relay format; the three best performances by the three participants from each team were added up for a team relay score. Winners of each relay event received four custom batons (one for each team member), and second and third place teams received medals.

The McIntosh boys placed second with 109.5 points, placing behind 6A Parkview High School. They swept the 4x1600m, 4x400m, 4x100m and sprint medley relay (100m, 100m, 200m, 400m). Senior Travis Bertke placed third in the shot put.

The McIntosh girls team placed fourth with 76 points, narrowly missing the podium by one point. They swept the distance medley relay, run in the Penn Relays format of 1200m, 400m, 800m, 1600m. Junior Morgan Frederick won the high jump with a jump of 4-10.
