On Feb. 24, McIntosh Chorus went to their annual LGPE (large group performance evaluation) competition at Flat Creek Baptist Church. At LGPE, students perform two pieces of music and then move on to sight reading, which is where students get one eight measure piece of music and have to read it on the spot. Competitions continued throughout the day with students returning to school once their competition was over. McIntosh Band attended on [day], and McIntosh Orchestra will attend on [day].
Chorus President, senior Elsie Wood attended LGPE and reflects on how well her class performed.
“We did really good on the sight reading, so it was satisfying to finish that and do good on it. And we got all ones, which is the highest score you can get,” Wood said.
