McIntosh excels at first and second year state

The majority of the McIntosh debate team competed at their final tournament of the 2014-2015 season during the week of February 23.  Teams from across the state of Georgia competed with McIntosh at the tournament strictly held for debaters in their first and second year of debating.

Four McIntosh students were able to attain speaking awards.  Senior Steven Black received a second place speaking award at the tournament, while juniors Christina Cortes and John Hamlin received 12th and 14th place speaking awards.  Furthermore, sophomore Christian Carr received a 15th place speaking award.

Also, throughout the tournament, Stephen Black and partner John Hamlin did well enough to receive a semifinals trophy.
