Arctic blast heading for the South

The first real arctic blast will be impacting the South this week, but we can expect many more.  While snow is not expected here in Georgia, this arctic blast has brought snow in the southern states of Texas, Arkansas and Tennessee.

The cold temperatures are set to begin today, Nov. 18, and continue through Thursday, Nov. 20, when temperatures are supposed to reach 50 degrees again.

In the Atlanta area, temperatures are predicted to fall to the upper teens. Students who drive golf carts to school will be quite uncomfortable.

Sophomore Hannah Easter said, “[The cold weather] gives students hope for snow days.”
