The McIntosh varsity boys’ soccer team took on Thomas County Central in the first round of the state playoffs on Friday, Apr. 28. Thomas County Central entered the playoffs with a record of 3-13. The Chiefs entered with a record of 20-1. The Chiefs are ranked number one in Georgia class 5A, third in the state overall and eighth in the nation. McIntosh was led by junior Jake Donaldson who scored a hat trick for the Chiefs in a 8-0 victory.
Junior Noah Slepika said,”It was a good win in the first round. Now that we got the nerves out, we can go out in next round ready to play.”
