Senior Alyssa LeClaire won both the 1600 meter and the 3200 meter finals at the Girl’s State meet in the Hugh Mills Stadium in Albany, Ga., on May 5-6. 

Senior Ngozi Chukwueke said, “Alyssa is one of the most talented and dedicated athletes I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. She honestly has the best work ethic out of anyone I’ve ever known. The girl is a powerhouse; even on her off days, she’s still training with the boys, pushing herself to get better. She’s a force to be reckoned with, proved by her two state titles won just this season in the 1600 and 3200. I expect great things from her in college, and I can’t wait to see her improve as an athlete and continue breaking records.”
