The McIntosh competition cheer team competed at Whitewater High School this past Saturday, September 22. MHS JV cheer scored second out of the five competing teams from Alexander, Newnan, Northgate and Starr’s Mill high schools. The theme for the JV cheer routine is Michael Jackson, incorporating his songs and moves within their routine, including the infamous moonwalk. “This was our first competition of the season and I am proud of the girls,” JV coach Ms. Danielle Wolf said. “I know we have room to improve and I hope that each week the team pushes themselves to be better than the previous performance.” Sophomore Christina Cheri has been cheering for three years. “Performing at competitions with my team is one of the most exciting things that I’ve ever done,” said Cheri. There is another competition at Starr’s Mill High School this Saturday, September 29.
