“Atlanta Hawks Poetry Slam Contest The Atlanta Hawks Poetry Contest is a shout-out to high school students to give voice to a variety of topics that are important to them.  Enter your written poem or submit a DVD of your performance and vie for an iPad, laptop computer, tablet notebook along with autographed merchandise.  The theme for this year’s contest is MY ATLANTA. Are there people, places or experiences related to the city or your neighborhood that have impacted you?  Things to consider: iconic Atlantans, landmarks and hangout spots, Atlanta culture, and your friends and family.  Whatever it is that makes your Atlanta unique, we want to hear about it.
