Due to ongoing construction at McIntosh, the “Fight for 54” has been relocated to Fayette County High School to maintain the football tradition of McIntosh vs Fayette.
For more than 40 years, MHS and FCHS have competed against one another, and this rivalry is named after the highway that connects the two schools. Last year, the Chiefs shutout the Tigers with the score of 56-0.
The varsity game kicks off at Fayette County at 7:30 pm, and tickets are available through GoFan. Sports Editor Connor Lafontant will be covering Friday night’s game.
