The New England Patriots lose in wild card playoff game

Over the multiple National Football League (NFL) seasons, the New England Patriots have been a powerhouse led by none other than quarterback Tom Brady and head coach Bill Belichick. Brady has played for New England since 2000 when he was drafted in the sixth round. He has since taken the team to 17 playoffs, competing in nine Super Bowls along the way. He currently has six rings making him the record holder of the player with the most Super Bowl wins in the NFL.

This season shocked many NFL fans when the Patriots went into playoffs losing 27 to 24 against the Miami Dolphins. The Patriots were the major favorite to win the game, so the loss changed the dynamic for this year’s playoffs. The Kansas City Chiefs went on to defeat the San Diego Chargers giving them a home advantage for the first round of this playoff season, seeing that the Patriots came up short against the Dolphins.

Moving into the AFC Wild Card Playoff game, the Patriots were once again a favorite to win. Losing once again the Patriots were defeated 20 to 13 against the Tennessee Titans, ending their playoffs for this year. Brady will become an unrestricted free agent in this year’s offseason, leaving the New England fans questioning whether he will retire next year, return to the Patriots or leave for another team.
