The NBA Playoffs began on Saturday, April 15. Some of the best basketball players and all around athletes in the world will compete throughout the playoffs for the coveted NBA championship, which is scheduled to be won in mid-June. Last year’s NBA champs, the Cleveland Cavaliers, famously overcame a 3-1 deficit in the NBA Finals to defeat the Golden State Warriors and win the series. The Cavaliers opened up against the Indiana Pacers this year.

Students at McIntosh appear to be excited for the start of the playoffs, and some gave their predictions for how this postseason will conclude.

Hometown senior James Outlaw said, “I have the [Atlanta] Hawks [winning the championship].”

Freshman Tylar Davis said, “I have the [Golden State] Warriors winning it because I think they have the most talent of all the teams, and also I think their bench players are the best in the league.”
