The cross country team traveled to Jasper, Georgia, to compete in the Sharptop XC Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 15. The head coach, Mr. Jason Newton, before the meet said, “We’re holding out our top five runners on our boy and girls varsity teams to let them rest for the region championship next week.”

With the top runners out of the races, both teams still held their own against some of the top teams in the state. The boys team placed 14th out of 30 schools with an average time of 18:34, and the girls team placed 13th out of 23 schools with an average time of 23:03.
