After a foul was called right outside the box, sophomore Walker Barrett took the free kick.

The JV boys soccer team kicked off against the Heritage Generals at home on Thursday, March 10, at 7:30 p.m.

At halftime, the score was tied 0-0. However, Heritage came out with 32 minutes left in the game and scored to lead the game 1-0. Twenty minutes later, sophomore Salam Agbaje scored an equalizer to make the game 1-1 with 12 minutes left in the game. About a minute after Salam’s equalizing goal, his brother, Baba Agbaje, scored to give the Chiefs a 2-1 lead with 11 minutes left in the game.

After Baba’s goal, the Chiefs took their time getting the ball in play to run down the clock. They still attacked the goal though, giving them several more chances to increase their lead.

Freshman captain Erik Malasek said, “We were slacking in the first half. After we went down one, we woke up and knocked two in the back of the net.”
