The boys and girls tennis teams traveled to Buckhead to play against teams from Georgia, Tennessee, and even South Carolina on March 27 and 28. The boys won the first round against West Minster (3-2). The girls, however, lost to Johns Creek.
In the second round of the tournament on March 28, the boys had to arrive at school at 6:45 a.m. in order to arrive on time for their 9:00 a.m. play time. The other team failed to show up, and the boys won 5-0 by default. This win placed the boys in the championships. The girls lost to Lovett High School. Junior Bella Vranesevich said, “Tournaments give us a chance to become closer as a team.”
In the championships, the boys lost to Harrison High School, and the girls lost to Chatahooche in their final match.
