McIntosh should invest in expanding the students’ parking lot
Jan 9, 2015
In the beginning of the school year students have the opportunity to purchase golf cart and car parking passes.
Seniors get priority and have the chance to pre-order passes. Juniors have the same opportunity a few weeks after seniors have had theirs.
However, some upperclassmen who didn’t have a cars at the beginning of the year have missed out on the opportunity to drive their cars to school.
Since cars can no longer be parked across the road or behind the school like in previous years, the school needs to expand the students’ parking lot.
In recent years McIntosh expanded the golf cart parking lot to fit up to 388 golf carts. However, more students drive cars than drive golf carts during the winter, and they need to be able to park them.

If an upperclassman doesn’t have his/her license by the beginning of the school year, it’s his/her fault that they don’t get a pass. The school doesn’t need to sink any more money into expansions.
