Link advises underclassmen

As my senior year comes to an end, I feel like I should give just a short word of advice to all of you lower classmen. Senioritis is real. Don’t go into your senior year expecting to breeze right through it. If you think it’s going to be easy, you are in for a big surprise.

Just because you’re a senior doesn’t mean your teachers will give you any less or unchallanging work. Be prepared to work just as hard as you have been if you want to keep your grades up. If you slack off, you will fail. You can’t get by without studying or without doing your homework.

There have been so many tests I have sat and looked at thinking, “Wow I would have known this stuff if I had actually studied.” Whoever keeps giving a false sense of “easiness” to senior year is wrong. I think that is why so many people think it is harder than it actually is. If you go into senior year thinking it’s going to be easy, you’re going to already have the mindset of not needing to pay attention or do any work.

Don’t let senioritis kill your grades! You will regret it in the end.
