Pep talk from unsuspected source provides wisdom

As the days are getting shorter, colder, and windier, McIntosh students anxiously count down the days until winter and spring break.

But for those McIntosh students looking towards the future to stick with New Year’s resolutions or finish up the last semester on a high note, a pep talk from Kid President, 9-year-old Robby Novak from Tennessee, may be all that is needed.

Novak’s video went viral overnight, gaining over seven million views in less than one week.

Novak urges us to do something meaningful with our lives while humorously delivering wisdom about issues from a child’s perspective.

Novak asks, “What will you create that will make the world awesome? Nothing if you keep sitting there. That’s why I’m talking to you today.”

“This is your time. This is my time. It’s our time. You can make every day better for each other. If we are all on the same team, let’s start acting like it,” Novak continues.

We all need encouragement from time to time. As we begin to finish up this semester, attitude and outlook will be key to success, and there is no better way than to believe in our abilities and in the abilities of others.

hiefs- this is our time. Let’s make a difference.
