From Duals to War Eagles: campus events

Everything on campus the week of January 19
Categories:
Senior deadlines are underway

Mid-year transcripts that will be updated to show fall semester grades will be available on Jan. 19, for students to request in Naviance or purchase a hard copy from the counseling office for 3 dollars. The top 2 colleges in Georgia, Georgia Tech and the University of Georgia, had regular decision application deadlines in early Jan. Mid-year transcripts are often wanted by colleges to learn more information about how applicants are progressing through senior year, and are required for deferred applicants to make a final decision. It’s important to send in documents electronically or through mail as early as possible to ensure there are no delays in the application process, which could cost a spot in the college. The next top 3 colleges. Georgia State, Georgia Southern and Kennesaw State, have much later application deadlines, but taking care of documents early on can prevent any errors.

SAT and ACT scores can also take a long time to process through the College Board, usually around 3 weeks. The next upcoming SAT date is March 9, and for the ACT Feb. 10. Registration for testing dates will always be due weeks prior, and all dates for testing and registration can be found here.

Chiefettes Competition

On Saturday Jan. 20, the Chiefettes Dance Team will compete at the Five-Star Invitational at Heritage High School in Conyers, Georgia. The dance competition will begin at 9 AM.
