Thunderbolts is one of my favorite Marvel movies of all time. With the messaging, character dynamics, action and comedy. I don’t think I have any complaints with this movie.
The characters were all really likeable. I loved Yelena and Ghost the most. Every character all had a part in the story and everyone was entertaining in their own way. The writing of the characters and the plot was really good.
I loved the messaging of mental health in the story and certain decisions they made to portray it. A common criticism before the movie was released was how the team are not very popular characters and kind of underwhelming. This is because they all have similar powers/skill sets aside from Ghost. But, the writers use this criticism for the story and they pull it off well.
The directing and camerawork was also great and it’s one of the best looking Marvel films. I think this is because a lot of the stunts were practical, like how Florence Pugh actually jumped off one of the highest buildings in the world.
Admittedly Marvel has been fumbling a good amount of movies/tv. Although there are some really good ones, they should still be all decent. But overall I really liked The Thunderbolts and I will be watching again. So if you haven’t already, go to the theaters and watch it!

They are the new Avengers! This reveal made me audibly gasp in the theater like a crazy person and I don’t even care. I love this team and I’m so excited to see what comes of it in the 2026 Avengers movie, Avengers Doomsday.
I loved Sentry and how his evil side was his mental health struggles personified. Because everyone has “the void” within them but his void just has superpowers. Just the whole movie being about mental health within the characters lives and portrayal and again Sentry’s evil side, made me love it so much.
Also, I find it so funny how they marketed Taskmaster as being part of the team only to kill her off within three minutes. Not that she has many fans, but I feel bad for the fans of her cause they did her so dirty.
Once again, The new Avengers is a high point for the MCU. It is actually really good not just as a Marvel movie, but just a movie as a whole.
