“Agatha All Along” has left me wanting more, even though the episodes were a little slow to pick up. I like the direction, cast and what it’s leading to and I’m excited to see what’s going to happen. Now, here’s my full review of “Agatha All Along.”

Addressing the elephant in the room, I am a big fan of “WandaVision” and just Wanda as a character. I literally wear a necklace of her headpiece. When Agatha All Along was announced I instantly wondered what was next for Wanda’s character alongside Agatha. So when Wanda’s next appearance after “WandaVision” (Doctor Strange: in the Multiverse Of Madness) had her literally die at the end, I was so much more intrigued. Fast forwarding to when I started the first two episodes, when Agatha was still trapped under Wanda’s spell and I saw Wanda’s dead body in the illusion, I went crazy. While many think that’s a confirmation of her death, I think the opposite. All it did was make us ask more questions than confirmation, and now I’m suspecting a return from the Scarlet Witch.

Moving on, this made me love Agatha even more. Kathryn’s delivery and comedic timing is great, and so is her more serious acting. I laughed at almost every joke Agatha made and I felt the pain Agatha felt too and I am so excited to see more. Agatha’s whole thing is “taking power from the undeserving” and manipulation and I wonder if that’ll change by the show’s end. The villains look cool too and I like how it connects to Agatha’s past we saw in “WandaVision.” I can’t say too much though because we haven’t really seen much of them.

Audrey Plaza, who are you and what are you doing?! I love this character even though I don’t know what’s going on with her and I don’t know if its because of the show or solely because it’s Audrey Plaza. There were some rumors she’s playing Agatha’s ex and after seeing the hand licking and nicknames, I am sensing something going on. And also, I can say the same with Joe Locke. There are rumors that he’s playing Billy Maximoff, who is Wanda’s son. I always liked this character from the comics I’ve read (which granted isn’t much) and I hope that this actually is him. I love seeing a powerful LGBTQ+ character that I can actually resonate with.

The directing is really good as well and I’m not remotely surprised. “WandaVision’s” sitcom episodes felt like actual sitcoms from the time period it took place in. So for the first episode which was portraying a 90s crime show, it actually felt like one. Although it was a little slow, there were a lot of good shots and once again Kathryn surprised me with her serious acting.

Overall Agatha All Along is pretty good so far and I already know that it’s gonna get so much better. I love the horror/comedy tone and aesthetic they got going on and it feels like my kind of show.

“Agatha All Along” is now streaming on Disney+.
