Taylor Swift announced her next tour in an Instagram post on Nov. 1. The tour is called “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour.”

Fans have been waiting for this moment since Swift announced her tenth album, “Midnights,” at MTV’s Video Music Awards (VMA) on Aug. 28. When she received her award for MTV Music Video of the Year, Swift teased the album’s release.

“I thought that it might be a fun moment to tell you… that my brand new album comes out on October 21.”

With Swift’s new release, fans are surprised by the amount of expletives Swift used in her new album “Midnights.”

“It’s honestly weird to hear her curse, so for some songs, I listen to the clean version,” Tiffany Costa (10) said.

Swift appeared on Jimmy Fallon and teased her next tour. Fans weren’t expecting her to announce it so soon, but just a week after that interview, Swift made it official on Instagram that she is going on tour, with a graphic including pictures of her from all of her albums “eras.”

Swift said in her Instagram post that the first leg of the tour will be in the U.S. The second leg will be international, and she plans to announce dates for that soon. A tour leg is a section of dates when someone is performing; artists like to take breaks between continents or if they are working on another project they need time for.

“I hope she’ll organize the concert like ‘Eras,’ with a new outfit and a new number of songs from that time. I also hope it is a little longer than a usual concert so that she can perform as many songs as she can,”  Costa said.

Swift released a special fan access link on her Instagram for fans to buy tickets on Nov. 15. Everyone else will have access to the tickets on Nov. 18. The first leg will begin in Mar. 2023 and run through Aug. 2023. The first show will be on Mar. 18, and she will open in Glendale, AZ; this is also where she first opened up for her “Reputation” tour in 2018. This will be her first official tour since 2018 because of the pandemic.

“I love how poetic all of her music is. I write songs myself, and her lyrics really inspire me. She also inspires me in the way that she rose to fame by just getting out there and performing, which inspires me to be confident,” Costa said.

She plans to bring artists with her on the tour, including Paramore, Gracie Abrams, Phoebe Bridgers and the girl in red. U.S. dates were announced in her Instagram post, and tickets will go on sale Nov. 18. Swift’s tour is presented by Capital One, and she made a cameo in a new commercial starring all of her eras including “Red,” “Fearless,” “Reputation,” and “Speak Now.” Taylor has rerecorded “Fearless” and “Red” and called them “Taylor’s Version.”

Fans are waiting for the rest of the albums to be rerecorded, but which is next? Swift’s new music video for her new song “Bejeweled” from her new album “Midnights” She gave an easter egg that “Speak Now: Taylor’s Version” is next.

“I swear she has lived every life. She is an amazing storyteller and just a beautiful person,” Elsa Jones (Ninth) said. In the music video, Swift was in an elevator, and the buttons were the colors of all of her albums. In the music video, she pressed on the button three, and “Speak Now” was her third album, and the button in the video was purple, the color of the dress she wears on the album cover.

The 13th button is purple, which represents her 13th album. “’Speak Now’ is my favorite Taylor album, and I absolutely cannot be more excited. I really hope she just releases it soon because I cannot handle all the anticipation; I want it now,” Costa said.

Also, Swift recently made a cameo in a Capital One card commercial starring all of her eras. She had a different outfit for every era, such as black for reputation, “Taylor’s Version” for “Red,” and a purple dress for “Speak Now.” In the commercial, she shows the number 13 on her hand, and fans think this could mean the rerecording of Speak Now. Swift is well-known for giving clues and easter eggs, so it could be a hint for “Speak Now: Taylor’s Version.”
