Teachers use Kahoot to educate students

Students must enter the Kahoot code after the teacher activates the game.

Over the past year, teachers have begun to use Kahoot.it, a game-based study tool.  On this website the teacher makes a quiz with custom answer times, music, and corresponding photos. Then, students use personal technology to log onto Kahoot.it, and they enter the code on the screen after the teacher activates the live quiz. During the quiz, students are rewarded more points if they answer correctly and quickly. Junior Conner Reynolds said, “It is a better and more interactive way to review material.”

Many teachers throughout McIntosh reward their students.  Math teacher Ms. Wyatt often gives her students Chick-fil-a Candy; whereas, science teacher Mr. Gaspierk has been known to reward extra points on an upcoming assignment.
