PSAT Day: Know Where to Go

On Wed. Oct. 16, due to the PSAT, McIntosh students should prepare for a change in schedule and know where they need to be for testing or the Senior-related activities.

Freshmen will be taking the PSAT in the Wilksmoor and Aberdeen Villages. This test is only as preparation for the real SAT but the scores will be used in the AP application process. Students should bring their Chromebook charged for testing online.

Sophomores will be taking the PSAT/NMSQT in the Glenloch and Wilksmoor Villages. The test is preparation for the real SAT and will be used during the AP application process. It will also help determine who qualifies for the National Merit Scholarship in eleventh grade. These students should have received a study guide booklet from their social studies teachers to help prepare for the test.

Juniors will be taking the ASVAB in the Braelinn Village unless they opted to take the PSAT/NMSQT. The ASVAB is an assessment for students that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success.

Senior Activities will take place in the Aberdeen and Kedron Villages and in the auditorium. Seniors must check their name and gown size, vote on Senior Superlatives, complete Naviance lessons, attend the Senior Brunch, take the class of ’20 photo in the stadium and attend a drama performance.

All students should review a map of the school to find the correct village their activity takes place in.
