During the week of February 6, world literature teacher Ms. Meredith Bragg, had her sophomore students analyze and deliver famous speeches given in history. Some of the speeches included Barack Obama’s “A More Perfect Union” speech and Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech.

Sophomore Andrew Bauer delivered president John F. Kennedy’s “Ich Bin Ein Berliner” speech. He said, “I loved this project. Being able to maintain eye contact with an audience is an important skill for our future.”

Mrs. Bragg said, “I feel that it is important for my students understand the historical significance of these speeches and how they affected the world. Rhetoric is also a big part of what I’m trying to teach them and analyzing these speeches will definitely help them.”
