Georgia did get snow
Jan 27, 2017
Snow was predicted in the state of Georgia over the days of Friday and Saturday, January 6 and 7. While some counties in North Georgia turned white as planned, other counties were disappointed.
Students and teachers in Cobb County had Friday, Monday and Tuesday off because of the high amounts of snow according to wsbtv.com. Most other counties had to settle for ice and freezing temperatures. Northeast Georgia ended up getting the most accumulation with up to five inches of snow in the area. The threat of snow and icy roads caused areas in Metro and North Atlanta, as well as North Georgia, to suffer school and business closings or delays.
