Juniors Jiaxing Liu, John McCauley and Sophie Roggermeier were sworn in as the new triumvirate of Latin Club on Fri., Jan. 15.

A triumvirate is an old form of government that was commonly used during ancient Roman times. The idea behind this form of government was to share an equal distribution of power among three individuals who were to lead the people and the military of Rome.

The duties of the triumvirate are to help Ms. Connie Bryant, the Latin teacher and sponsor for Latin club and to come up with activities for Latin Club members.

Ms. Bryant swore in the students with the symbolic passing of a paper torch.
