Freak winter storm closes schools
I guess in the end we will get an entire week for winter break. The forecast for last Tuesday was 100 percent chance of snow, yet students were still sent to school. Around 3rd period snow started to fall, and by fourth it was already sticking. Students were sent home with an early dismissal, and school was cancelled for the rest of the week.
We passed the three snow day limit, but we still get winter break (Feb. 14-18) because schools in Georgia were shut down for the safety of government workers, staff and students.
