On Saturday, Feb. 29, the McIntosh Chiefs baseball team got one of their biggest wins in recent memory against Harris County, who is currently ranked number ten in the state of Georgia. The victory came in blowout fashion by a score of 15-5.

The game followed up a close victory directly before against Upson Lee High School. Both games were part of a series of contests taking place at Upson Lee that day.

“It was unbelievable,” said senior pitcher Davis Roberson. “We came in and killed them…everyone went crazy.”

The pair of victories moved the Chiefs to 7-2 on the young season, an impressive start to follow up last year’s playoff exit in the second round against Ola.

The Chiefs now will proceed to the rest of the season with the confidence of having a top ten win under their belts.
