The Mcintosh Varsity Boys Soccer continued their winning streak with a dominant 10-2 win over Morrow High School on Tuesday, Mar. 21, 2026.

The team’s offense stayed consistent throughout the match, with multiple players contributing to the final score. Senior Tomas Pulido led the scoring effort with three goals, while senior Rune Anderson and junior Andrew Blalock each added two. Additional goals came from several players across the roster, helping McIntosh reach double digits.

Head coach Bunkie Colvin said the team’s focus on ball movement made a noticeable difference in the outcome of  the game.

“We’ve been working a lot on our possession, passing the ball quicker, cleaner, faster, and it was much better,” Colvin said. “Our speed of play was better, and we created better chances, and it resulted in 10 goals.”

McIntosh maintained control by moving the ball quickly and creating space in the attacking third. The team’s pace made it difficult for Morrow to adjust defensively, allowing McIntosh to have multiple scoring opportunities throughout the game.

Senior Rune Anderson said one of his goals came from reading the play and reacting quickly as the ball moved forward.

“One of my teammates on the left wing got the ball near the top left and tried to go in for a cross, but he cut back. I was around midfield, started calling for the ball, and when he played it into the box, I ran onto it and hit it first time into the top right,” Anderson said.

Anderson also said that his focus stays simple when finishing chances.

“Not a lot of stuff kind of goes through my mind when I’m scoring, I just focus on shooting the ball,” Anderson said.
