McIntosh Track and Field competed against multiple schools across Georgia on Wednesday, Apr. 1, such as Stone Mountain High School, East Coweta and Banneker in the 2026 Trojans Tune-Up. Among the other schools, McIntosh students typically fell in between the medium and high ranks. In sprint events, few McIntosh students placed high. But, distance and field events showed a stronger performance with lots of students being ranked high. Senior Abby Sheets PR’d and placed sixth in the girls shot put finals.

“I’m honestly very happy with how I competed yesterday. I ended up PRing by over a foot in shot [put],” Sheets said.

Despite her contentment with how she performed, that there are still things that she can improve on.

“I definitely spun a little safer than I should have. But in the coming week I’ll definitely be working on trusting my spin and working through it cleanly,” Sheets said.
