Chiefs Baseball face Ola

The McIntosh Chiefs baseball team competed against the Ola High School Mustangs on Monday, Feb. 11 at 5:30 at McIntosh. The Chiefs fell to the Mustangs in the state playoffs last year, making for a heated and emotional matchup.

“The back to back losses at Ola hurt,” senior Jack Bukowski said. Opening the season with a win will give the Chiefs great confidence to begin the season. Poor pitching and ineffective hitting was the undoing of the Chiefs baseball team last year, so correcting these shortcomings will help flip the script for this baseball team. The Chiefs will be looking to exact revenge against the Mustangs, which will give them a great start for their 2019 campaign. In addition, the Chiefs will take on the Ola Mustangs on April 20, at SunTrust Park, so the opportunity for a captivating revenge story is certainly forthcoming.
