The McIntosh Girls Varsity soccer team took on the Northgate Lady Vikings on Friday, March 10. The last time these two teams met, the Lady Chiefs were victorious as they beat Northgate 4-0 at home in front of over 700 fans in the state semi-final. The Northgate team came away with a 1-0 victory over McIntosh.

The goal came early in the second half after a foul was called against McIntosh inside the 18-yard box. The Northgate player stepped up to take the penalty kick and buried it in the lower left corner of the goal.

Senior Lindsey Licitra said, “The loss was upsetting. It’s never fun to lose to a rival, but we will come back from this loss. We want to win state again, so this loss will make us stronger.”
