The JVG soccer team traveled to Starr’s Mill to take on the Panthers for their last away game of the season on Wednesday, March 30.

The JVG originally played the Panthers their first game of the season at home on Monday, Feb., 8. The Lady Chiefs came out on top with a 1-0 victory against the Panthers on that date.

With 31 minutes left in the first half, freshman Charlotte Moore scored the first goal of the game to give the Lady Chiefs the 1-0 lead. With 26 minutes left in the first half, freshman Grace Podolski scored to give the Lady Chiefs a 2-0 lead.   The last goal of the half was scored by freshman Chloe Minor. With about 2 minutes left in the game, freshman Grace Podolski got fouled in the box. Freshman Kamryn Torr scored off of the PK. The Lady Chiefs had a 4-1 lead at halftime.

With 26 minutes left in the second half, freshman Chloe Minor had her second goal of the game to give the Lady Chiefs a 5-1 lead.

Freshman Chloe Minor said, “The rivalry and passion involved with the Starr’s Mill vs McIntosh game was definitely present on the field this game. Our team went out and played with such intensity and teamwork that it lead to our second drill the mill of the season.”
