The Chiefettes traveled to Alabama to compete in the UDA Alabama Dance Championship at Spain Park High School on Jan. 23. The team placed first in both pom and jazz. Earlier in the season the team placed first in jazz and second in pom, and they won best choreography award for jazz at the UDA Smoky Mountain Championship.

The Chiefettes have two more major competitions left in their season. At the end of the week, the Chiefettes will travel to UDA Nationals in Disney World, and they will perform their pom and jazz routines. Last season, the Chiefettes finished ranked twelfth nationally for jazz. In February, the Chiefettes will defend their state titles and go for their seventh straight double state championship.
