College football season has officially begun, and for many it’s a time of happiness, lots of food and lots of fun.

McIntosh students are quite excited about the start of the season.  Some students here at McIntosh have ties to the southeastern conference, like junior Rachel Ward who is a University of Tennessee fan.  When asked about the start of the season, she said, “Football season is my favorite time of the year, and I love the feeling that you get when you are cheering your favorite team on from home and the atmosphere when you are actually at the game.”

Others at McIntosh represent divisions that are in other parts of the country.  Senior Jay Booras is a Wisconsin fan and enjoys football season. He said, “I’m excited for football season to begin because there are so many upsets possible no matter who is playing who.”
