From Booth to McIntosh, expectations are high for the freshman wide receiver

Kamryn Torr, Editor In Chief

As the McIntosh football season starts back up, the Chiefs added five new freshman to the roster, including brother of sophomore Alex Seymour, Zach Seymour. Zach has played football since he was 8 and also played at Booth Middle School before coming to McIntosh.

On and off the field, Zach loves football and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets football team. Zach said his favorite athlete is Zach Laskey, a former football player from Tech, who now plays in the NFL for the St. Louis Rams.

As a freshman, Zach reached his goal to make the varsity team and now he said he is eager to make contributions to the team throughout the season. While playing wide receiver for the Chiefs, Zach said his individual goal for the season is to improve his catching and blocking ability. With ten regular season games, Zach said he is looking forward to the season and achieving his expectations in making it past the playoffs.

As a team goal, Zach said that they want to work hard every day and improve throughout the season ahead. After the season opener win against Fayette County on Friday August 21, Zach said it was a good win for the team and looks ahead to the season with a win behind them.
