The Cross country team competed at the Battle of Atlanta at Nash Farms on Saturday, August 30. Senior Johnny Vargas said, “Nash Farms is possibly one of the hardest and hilliest courses that we will run this year.”

The JV team won third out of over 35 teams that raced at the meet. The top five finishers for the junior varsity race include junior Zander Wilson, junior Denver Williams, senior John Oliver, freshman Vladimir Zander-Velloso, and senior Sebastian Lopez.

Each top five runner ran the five kilometer race under 21 minutes. Sophomore Kevin Mcbride recapped the race saying, “We did really well at Nash farms. Everyone received pretty good times even though the course was deceptively hilly.”
