Chiefs soccer remains undefeated to earn second straight state championship
On May 16, McIntosh soccer played Houston County in a rematch of last year’s state championship. From the start of the game, the Chiefs dominated both on offense and defense as they have the entire season. By the first half the score was 3-1 with two goals by senior Adam Sheikali and one by Didrik Cooper-Seip.
The second half was all McIntosh. The Chiefs scored five more goals (two by Cooper-Seip, one by sophomore Justin Magee and one by sophomore Luke Mohney). The defense led by goalie senior Spencer Wrobleski who didn’t allow any goals in the second half. The final score was 8-1.
This is the first time McIntosh Chiefs soccer has won back to back state championship, and this is their fifth state championship in school history. They finish the season ranked #1 in AAAAA, Georgia and the nation. They finish the season 22-0 and on a 45 game win streak.
