MHS Varsity Cheerleader to cheer at UWG

Catie was a part of the state championship team during the 2013 season for MHS Varsity Cheer Team. She is pictured with captains Mary Sousley and Shannon Hinds.
GHSA 5A State champion and two time world champion, Catie Callen, is a senior at MHS who will be graduating in May with the class of 2014.
Catie has been cheering competitively since she was a child. She is absolutely in love with the sport of cheerleading and plans to continue he cheering career further into college. In the fall of 2014, Catie will be attending the University of West Georgia. She is planning on cheering on the the West Georgia Wolves All-girl cheerleading squad.
Catie cheers competitively for a cheer company in Marietta, The Stingray Allstars. Her team, the Orange Rays, have won world championships twice in a row. Last year in 2013 and this year in 2014. Catie puts countless hours into her cheer company and said, “I’m so incredibly happy that I finished as a world champion in my last year of doing allstars. Could not have ended a more perfect way.”
Anxious to start practicing, Catie plans to spend her summer preparing for UWG’s season in the fall.
