By-week helps refuel the undefeated Chiefs
Currently on a five game winning streak, the MHS varsity football team earns a day off. Recognizing the boys hard work and dedication to the team, MHS coaches decide to give our Chiefs a small break from all their recent hard work. Having practiced about every day of the week starting in May and continuing until right now, players were shocked with a football free day. Senior Jake Carney said, “Without the stress of rushing to the locker rooms right after school, I was able to walk to my car slowly and socialize with my friends.” Although the players appreciated the break, Trey Walters said, ” [I am] ready to get back out on the field.” Refreshed by a short break, quarterback Andrew Johnson said, “We are all ready to get out on the field tonight and show our fans what we’re capable of. MHS chiefs took on the Whitewater Wildcats at home last Friday and our Chiefs were prepared and took yet another victory under the Friday night lights. McIntosh is now ranked 6-0. Go Chiefs!
