The Chiefs faced the Mundy’s Mill Tigers on December 4.
During the first half, the Chiefs worked well on offense, but so did the Tigers. The score went back and forth for much of the half, but with a missed shot by the Tigers, the Chiefs went into the half with a tight lead of 28-27.
The Chiefs’ defense stepped while their offense continued to score. Senior Peter Talisse ‘s three-pointers and freshman Jordan Lyon’s free throws helped the Chiefs.
During the last couple minutes of the game with the Chiefs leading, the Tigers started to foul in hopes that they could get the ball back and score, but Lyons made his free throws and despite missing the last one, he got the rebound and scored giving the Chiefs the winning score of 56-51.
