Senior superlative special: Most Athletic
Most athletic category is not about being involved in sports, but about being involved in McIntosh sports. Involvement within the MHS community is critical when narrowing down nominations for this section. The seniors for the class of 2014 are Taylor Huntley and Lauren Wilson.
Taylor Huntley is a member of the 2012 state championship cross country team. Taylor has been on the cross country team for all four of his years at McIntosh, and this year, he is one of the captains. Taylor also played for MHS’s basketball team his freshman and sophomore year. Taylor will finish out this school year as a four year member of the track team. He enjoys doing all things related to athletics and said, “Without sports in my life, I’m not sure what I would do with my free time.”
Lauren Wilson is the epitome of Taylor, only a female version. The class of 2014 nominated Lauren because of her competitive, athletic nature. She has been a member of the MHS tennis team for all four years, track team for two years, and cross country team for one year. Lauren is constantly exercising and looking for more ways to get involved in her school. She is also looking at participating in college level athletics next year.
