Students discuss NCAA March Madness

March Madness is coming to a close for the NCAA college basketball championships, and many have decided whom they want to be the winner once the tournament ends. The tournament has been more unique than prior tournaments. According to Sports Center, all four number one seeds advanced to the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2012, there have been three buzzer-beaters so far, and Texas A&M rally from 12 down with less than one minute to play is the largest last-minute deficit overcome to win in college basketball history.

Students began watching the tournament in hopes of successfully creating a bracket that correctly placed all the winning teams in the tournament, but as the tournament has gotten even more interesting, students are revising their choices by picking their favorite teams left in the tournament.

Junior Will Tiller said, “Well, my bracket is well busted by now, but I am, of course, rooting the Texas A&M Aggies to win it all. Texas is my home state, and I have grown up being a fan of Texas A&M. I really think they can pull of an upset against Oklahoma in the next round.”

Junior Harry Immel said, “I was rooting for Villanova to win it, but since there out now, I am hoping that Kansas can win it all since I have them winning the championship in the bracket that I made.”
